6 Year Old Girl Rescues Her Mom From Rape

A 6 year-old girl girl called the police stating that her mother was being raped. It is outstanding to know that a girl that is only 6 years old called the police for such an emergency. The 6 year old goes by the name Laura Anne Burke. She told police that she was hiding in her mother and father’s bedroom, which is located upstairs.

The dispatcher asked Laura what happened to her mother. “A man. He came in the back door and hit my mommy.” Laura stated. As the dispatcher was trying to make sure nothing happened to the child, she told her to lock the door.

Laura was able to give the dispatcher her correct address, and they sent three police cars to go help her mother.

All About Kameron Hammond!

I got to have the chance to speak with a student here at SC State University, he goes by the name Kameron Hammond. He is a junior from Philadelphia, Pensylvania. However, he currently lives in Orangeburg, South Carolina which is where he attends school.

Hammond is a journalism major and has plans on using his degree and becoming a beat writer for the Philadelphia Eagles. He is planning on using his degree in sports journalism. I was interested in knowing what kind of music Kameron listens to. He mentioned that he usually listens to hip hop and rap, but his favorite type of genre is R&B.

When Kameron was asked who inspires him the most, his answer was straight forward and loving. "I have two people who inspire me the most, dead and alive. My uncle is my role model and I've looked up to him since I was young and want to follow in his footsteps. My grandfather passed away 13 years ago and ever since then he's b been my motivation to be better as a person." Kameron stated.

In Kameron's free time that he does have he likes to play video games, chill with his teammates or do something sports related, and run track for SC State University.

Hawaii Vacation on Kizoa

My freshman year me and my mother took a memorable vacation to Honolulu, Hawaii. I must say it was my favorite vacation so far! We had so much fun and I enjoyed every moment of it. We went swimming and dancing with the dolphins. We also got to witness a luau. Here are some pictures I captured on my Canon camera.

I Seen Mona Lisa and She Was in Green

This project was interesting to do, because we were able to pretend to be somewhere that we really weren't. Mr. Harwood thought it would be a good idea to take our pictures in the production room. The production room is surrounded with green walls.

I chose to do my project on being at the Louvre museum. The museum is located in Paris, France, however I made sure that I was there somehow. I posed as if I was staring at the infamous Mona Lisa painting. I stood in front of the green wall because I wasn't sure how the green curtain would turn out as my background. I knew I couldn't go wrong with the green wall.

One day I will be standing in front of the actual Mona Lisa painting. Traveling around the world is something that I must do. Paris would be a great time, but for now this will have to do.

My Interest for Pinterest!

Pinterest is a website and an app used to save all of your favorite ideas or inspirations. It has a lot of different photographs on Pinterests. Whatever you want to search Pinterest has it on the website. Common ways people use it is for ideas or motivations. That is what I use it for.

Three Pinterest boards that I have on my account include; nails, outfits, and makeup looks. I use the nail board for different designs to get for whenever I get my nails done. Outfits are when I am feeling inspired by certain fashion and might want to wear it later. My makeup looks board are different looks of makeup that I will try in the future. Orangeburg Police Officer Scared For His Life When He Saw The Suspect In Parking Lot

Carlos Vacanti sat down with me and told his side of the story on what happened in the parking lot. “I remember his eyes. They were cold, the eyes of a killer,” Vacanti said. He was very timid in the interview as he explained what happened. The suspected man has been stealing from parked cars since 11 in the morning according to police. 

“I smelled the gun powder and waited for the pain.” Carlos explained how he thought the suspect shot him when he stopped him. “There’s no doubt in my mind he wanted to kill me last night just because I stopped him,” the officer said in the interview. Vacanti and the suspect were in a police chase.

Officer Vacanti knew what the man looked like from the description he heard on the radio prior to when he saw the suspect. The suspect shot at the officer twice. The suspect was caught breaking into a home and Carlos Vacanti arrested him. The officer said he still smelled gunpowder the morning after, and he assumed that he was dead. 

Snapseed Indeed

There are a tons of photo editing apps and softwares online. However, after finding out about Snapseed was needed. The app allows you to choose between multiple different effects and filters. It allows you to make picture look different. I was able to edit my photo using Snapseed and the cool effects and filters.

I went through my phone gallery and chose a photo that I had already captured while I was back home in Chicago. This is downtown Chicago and I liked how closed in it looked, so I took the photo.

The filter I used for this picture is called "Accentuate." It definitely made the photo more enhanced and brightened up the colors as well.
